Inception
Pure Lubrication was started back in the late 1980’s by a group of engineers who understood the need for a mobile oil cleaning system. They understood that individual small operators, and large businesses had neither the time available nor were their machines necessarily capable of moving, so they decided to take the cleaning process to those people in need of oil cleaning in Melbourne
Concept
The concept was simple on paper, but difficult to achieve. They required a machine that could purify the oil and also remove water. There are very good machines and very good filter systems that can usually only achieve 1 of these results, rarely both. The concept also needed to be able to operate effectively whilst the customer lost no downtime in a manufacturing environment. The concept was also for machines to be cleaned onsite (as in excavators, concrete pumps etc) to prevent lost time carting the machine to be cleaned.
The Goal
The goal of these pioneers in oil system cleaning was to present a cleanliness level far greater than new oil standard and even greater than filtered new oil standard. They achieved this in the design of the filtration system and also the filter size combination, along with heaters and a centrifuge they could also remove all water from an oil system. Finally a vacuum chamber to expel any unwanted gases and to further dry the oil to complete the process.
